Color comps

Here are a several color comps I came up with before starting the actual renderings.

Friendly Forest:



Kind of an intuitive comp by looking at reference...



Tried using the palette of one of bierstadt's paintings

Well.. It started out Complimentary...

Started with a complimentary base, but then went intuitive always incorporating either of the two compliments into the palette. My initial mistake was thinking about too much. Happier with these results...

Who says I don't love you guys? See, I force myself to do the assignments too. Actually, I don't mind it. Thanks for coming out again guys. We'll have to do it again next week. Here's my "tonal" Pleine Aire.... Oooohhh, Ahhhhh.... (yeah right).

Revised Hostile forest and owl positions

I attempted to change the leaves on the tree so it isn't so even, revised the fog, and tried redesigning the mushrooms (I'm not sure how if I made them any better because the species from my reference show them clustered).

Owl Positions: I wasn't sure where to best position the owl...so I went into the photoshop and made these :/
